Phase 1 Monday As Madrid Parks Re-Open

After 72 days of lockdown Madrid was finally able to move to Phase 1 of the Four Phase  de-escalation return to normality.

The Madrid Environment Minister, Borja Carabante, attended the 06.00 re-opening of El Retiro Park (Jardines de El Buen Retiro)  this morning signalling the first major step in the return to normaility after the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

All public parks and spaces have been closed since March 14th.

Other public parks re-opening today include:

Jardines de Fuente del Berro, Quinta de los Molinos, Sabatini Gardens, Juan Carlos I, Juan Pablo II, Viveros Casa de Campo,  Viveros Estufas, Rosaleda, Valdebebas-Felipe VI,  Finca Tres Cantos, Parque Oeste, Plaza Oriente, Dehesa de la Villa, Madrid Río & Casa de Campo

Playgrounds remain closed.
