Founding Volunteers Wanted – Help Launch a New Arts Society in Madrid

Exciting news! – A new cultural initiative is taking shape in Madrid—and you can be part of it from the very beginning.

The Arts Society Madrid, an affiliate of the UK-based global arts education charity The Arts Society UK, is seeking enthusiastic founding volunteers to help establish and grow a vibrant new community dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of the arts.

With a worldwide network of over 65,000 members across 360 societies, The Arts Society UK brings expert-led lectures on a wide range of artistic and cultural subjects to audiences of all backgrounds and nationalities. Our Madrid branch is now preparing to launch its inaugural programme in October 2026.

• W are currently assembling a small, committed team to help bring this vision to life. Planned activities include: A yearly programme of eight high-quality lectures delivered by accredited speakers
• Local art-focused excursions
• Engaging social events for members
• As a founding volunteer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the society, whether assisting with event planning, fund raising, communications, venue coordination (including sourcing a 120-seat lecture space in central Madrid), or general organisation.
• This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Madrid’s cultural landscape, meet like-minded people, and be part of something meaningful from the ground up.
