Hispano Britanica Communications Award Open To Writers
The Fundacion Hispano Britanica´s prestigious Eleanor of Castilla Award is open, inviting written pieces that contribute to furthering understanding between the UK and Spain.
The award which comes with a 3,000 Euro prize is open to all writers in English or Spanish and aims to ” to promote and recognise the work of journalists, communicators and disseminators in the written media, in Spain and the United Kingdom, honoring their contribution to a better relationship and mutual understanding between Spanish and British societies”.
This year the award is sponsored by the Heritage Hotel in Madrid.
Candidate works must have been published with a maximum length of 2,000 words and up to five pieces can be submited for consideration by the panel.

The award which is named in honour of Eleanor of Castille, who was married to King Edward I of England, who upon her death, built the famous Eleanor Crosses in her memory, many of which still stand today.
The Fundacion Hispano Britanica is the leading cultural forum promoting UK-Spain cultural relations.
