Madrid Shows Solidarity With Israel Following “Repulsive Attacks”
Madrid Stands firm with the people of Israel.
That is the message from the regional premier, Isabel Diaz Ayuso, today as the Casa de Correos building in the heart of Madrid was lit up in the blue and white of the flag of the State of Israel.
Ayuso also condemned the “repulsive attack” against innocent Israeli citizens who were gunned down by Hamas terrorists on Saturday 7th October.
The Real Casa de Correos is the headquarters of the Presidency of the Madrid regional Government and was lit up “as a symbolic gesture towards the Israeli people from Madrid’s Puerta del Sol.”

The Madrid regional government joined the central government of Spain and governments across the world in condeming the largest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
The statement read: “In these critical hours for the State of Israel, our utmost rejection of the cruel terrorist offensive it is suffering, and our support and solidarity with all the victims. Madrid, with freedom and life.”
The Madrid City Council has also announced that police have stepped up patrols to protect the city´s Jewish population from attacks by Islamic terrorist sympathisers.
