PHotoESPAÑA Exhibition Opens In Madrid

The welcome return to normality also includes the resumption of major exhibitions such as PHotoESPAÑA which opened yesterday and showcases the best of the world of the visual arts and photography.

With exhibitions in  museums and art galleries throughout the city, PHotoESPAÑA is a must for those who are interested in discovering the latest trends in photographic art as well as seeing work by internationally renowned artists.

The 23rd  PHotoESPAÑA will be held with more than 50 exhibitions at museum and art centres as part of its Official Section. For the first time, new digital projects will be incorporated and a large exhibition with citizen participation in streets all over Spain in some 50 towns and up to 10,000 photographic participants.

You will be able to see major joint exhibitions, such as a selection of Japanese photography in The Gaze of Things. Japanese Photography in the Context of Provoke with works by Daido Moriyama or Takuma Nakahira; a selection of images by the authors of Magnum such as Eve Arnold or Philippe Halsman on the human body; or works by artists like Francesca Woodman, Vivian Sassen, or Richard Avedon, on fashion and art.

During the summer months the exhibition will also be in the Fine Arts Circle, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, the Royal Botanical Garden, & the Tabacalera

The exhibition runs until 31st October.
