St George´s Church Benefit Concert On Friday 25th October

St George´s Church is looking to raise 2.000€ to renovate their children´s  Godly Play room and to contribute to ongoing repairs and maintenance to the 93 year old church with a fundraising concert on Friday 25th October.

The concert will be given by Lindsey McKee who will be flying in from the United States to give a performance of popular opera and show tunes. Originally from the UK, Lindsey trained at the Guildhall School of Music in London where she sang at the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.

She subsquently made her home in Kansas City Missouri in the US and has worked in theatres across the Midwest, including The MUNY, and STAGES St. Louis, The Missouri Rep and The American Heartland Theatre to name a few.

She has also worked with the Lyric Opera and the Kansas City Symphony, Union Avenue Opera Theatre and the St. Louis Philharmonic. Recently she was named as one of the top six sopranos in the American Prize 2017. Lindsey has been heard in recital across the United States, performing with orchestras, singing symphonic works such as Strauss’ “Four Last Songs” and Gorecki’s Fourth Symphony, and in recital in Capetown, South Africa.

She is thrilled to be collaborating with her friend of many years Simon Gray.

When she is not performing Lindsey teaches voice at William Jewell College, in Liberty Missouri.
