Teenager Gored In Toledo Fiesta

This is the moment a 17-year-old boy is horrifically gored three times while taking part in a traditional bull run.

The incident happened in the town of Mocejon, in the province of Toledo in central Spain, on Tuesday, 9th September, during festivities in honour of the Virgin of Angustias.

Video footage shows the animal pushing the teenager against a wall and gores him while lifting him into the air before slamming him against a metal gate.

The bull then drags the youth back to the centre of the plaza and topples him over leaving him lying on the ground.

Other participants rush forward waving capes and pulling the bull’s tail to distract it but their attempts fail at first.

They eventually succeed and carry the injured minor away to seek medical assistance.

Civil Guard sources said the boy was gored three times and suffered wounds to his shoulder and abdomen.

He was stabilised at the scene by medical personnel before being transferred to the University Hospital of Toledo.

Hospital sources confirmed that his condition is serious.

The incident has caused great commotion in the town during the local Bull Day celebrations.
