Bodybuilder & Steroid Use Influencer Dies Suddenly Aged 30

A young Spanish influencer bodybuilder dubbed ‘Hero Fitness’ because of his incredible physique has died suddenly aged just 30 after years of campaigning to legalise steroid use.

The cause of death for super-fit Alfredo Martín, who was also a professional fitness coach, is not yet known. His death was, however, confirmed by his partner, who said he died on Monday, 27th November.

The influencer and YouTuber gained popularity on the internet for advocating the use of steroids to enhance muscle performance despite their many proven adverse effects.

Vera Schroeder, Alfredo’s partner, said: “What happened is true; it was yesterday [Mon].”

She shared the heart-breaking news on Instagram and requested “maximum discretion and respect for a few weeks”, without giving more details about the cause of death.

She only agreed to speak to confirm the death when rumours about Alfredo’s death began circulating on social media.

She added: “I prefer to tell the real story before it becomes more sinister and even more people ask me and write to me.”

Numerous users expressed their shock on the internet over the bodybuilder’s death.

Among other personalities, YouTuber Jordi Wild, who recently interviewed the athlete, stated: “I had the pleasure of interviewing him a while ago, and he was a spectacular and honest guy, aware that he was taking risks with his lifestyle.

“I don’t know what happened to him, but if it was due to substance use (which maybe not), this leads to reflecting on the normalisation of the use of anabolic steroids in recent years. But for now, my condolences to the family.”

Super-jacked Alfredo had over 122,000 followers on Instagram and 180,000 users on YouTube.

In his videos, he provided advice on improving and increasing muscle mass. In some clips, he openly discussed the use of anabolic steroids and acknowledged the harmful effects.

In one of his videos posted shortly before he passed away, Alfredo said: “When you use cycles at doses other than those of testosterone replacement therapy (which doctors can prescribe if the body does not produce enough naturally) and repeat it over time for years, it’s bad.”

Numerous users and followers are sending messages of love and condolences to his family and friends for the loss.

Meanwhile, the cause of death remains unknown.
