Dmitry Yablonsky Welcomed To “Stunning” InClassica Festival by EUFSC President Konstantin Ishkhanov

This August and September, the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC), together with SAMIT Event Group, will present the InClassica International Music Festival, taking place in Dubai for the first time in the festival’s ten year history. This special anniversary edition of the event promises to be a classical music extravaganza, bringing together thirty-eight critically-acclaimed soloists, eight celebrated orchestras and twelve leading conductors to perform over the festival’s thirty consecutive days of evening performances. The festival features music by distinguished European composers, including works by Composer-in-Residence, Alexey Shor, with iconic classical music video platform, Medici.tv, confirmed by the organisers as official media partner for the event.

The InClassica festival will take place from 15th August to 26th September, with concerts taking place at the Dubai Opera and Coca-Cola Arena. The festival is the EUFSC’s flagship project of the year, and has been specially curated to reflect the auspicious nature of the event and the foundation’s various cultural activities around the world.

Spain’s Grammy-nominated Dmitry Yablonsky is set to make an appearance at InClassica, with the acclaimed conductor scheduled to appear alongside the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Malta Philharmonic Orchestra for performances on the 11th and 14th September respectively. For the first of these concerts, Maestro Yablonsky will be joined onstage by renowned Turkish pianist, Gramophone Classical Music Award and four times ECHO KLASSIK Award winner, Fasil Say, and three days later by leading pianist, winner of multiple international competitions and “European Culture Prize” and 2003 ECHO KLASSIK Prize winner, Severin von Eckardstein (Germany), as well as the winner of the 1986 Rostropovich International Competition in Paris and BMG (RCA), Sony and EMI recording artist, outstanding cellist Gary Hoffman (Canada/USA/France).

“While it is always a sincere pleasure to work with Konstantin Ishkhanov on our projects together around the world, I have no doubt that the upcoming InClassica Festival will represent a stunning new achievement even by the EUFSC’s incredibly high standards, and I cannot wait to conduct the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in Dubai.” — Dmitry Yablonsky, leading Spanish conductor and cellist

In addition to InClassica’s varied and impressive schedule of concerts by critically acclaimed artists, the EUFSC and SAMIT Event Group are also proud to present the closing stage of the lauded Classic Piano International Competition, taking place from the 15th August to 4th September. This section of the competition taking place in Dubai represents the culmination of two years of hard work and determination on behalf of both competitors and organisers, with Classic Piano’s final four rounds in the UAE’s most populous city populated exclusively by winners from 14 preliminary competitions from around the world as part of the prestigious ‘14 Ways to Dubai’ Competition.

Furthermore, this year will also see the organisers present the inaugural edition of their highly anticipated Middle East Classical Music Academy (MECMA), taking place from 4th to 23rd September. This groundbreaking educational initiative will see talented youngsters from across the globe converge in Dubai for what promises to be a spectacular and rewarding series of workshops, lectures and open masterclasses.
