Helping Those In Need This Yuletide
We are proud to be associated with the British Benevolent Fund whose volunteers work all year round helping vulnerable people in need.
The fund was established over 90 years ago to help British residents in Spain who have no other resource.
The British Ambassador to Spain, Hugh Elliott is the patron.
This year the fund has been providing financial relief to so many people whose lives have been impacted by the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
So far in 2020 the fund has helped over 90 British nationals in desperate circumstances with 33 repatriations, 32 passports, 19 emergency accommodation grants , 24 subsistence grants providing people with food and life essentials for up to 3 months, 14 bills payments to prevent electricity and water services being cut, and 12 other grants varying from replacement white goods, through essential dental work, to pairs of glasses and babies birth certificates.
