Madrid Hospitals Led Spain During Pandemic

Madrid’s hospitals continue to be at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus taking top positions as the nations best according to the independent body MERCO, health reputation monitor, which published this week the top 50 hospital rankings in Spain.

Spain´s best private hospital was HM Sanchinarro in Madrid which was placed as the 3rd best in the country.

Indeed private hospital group HM Hospitales consolidated its position with HM Montepríncipe (7th), HM Madrid (22nd), HM Torrelodones (29th) and HM Puerta del Sur (34th) among the elite of Spanish private healthcare facilities.

The rankings are based on peer evaluations of patients’ trust, doctor & nurse and health industry commentators and journalists.

The report analyzed the leading hospitals in the country according to their reputation as health providers.

HM Sanchinarro University Hospital leads the field in the “top” private hospitals with the best reputation in Spain along with public ones such as La Paz (Madrid), Gregorio Marañón (Madrid), and 12 de Octubre.

Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid and Hospital Universitario Sanitas La Zarzuela.

HM Hospitales now has six of the top 50 best health centres in Spain mirroring the groups investment in healthcare technology, cutting edge research and the patients’ and professionals’ service assessment.

The group was founded and remains run by medical professionals and currently has more than 5,000 staff in 42 healthcare centers ( including  16 hospitals, 4 specialist centres for Oncology, Cardiology, Neurosciences and Fertility centres, as well as 22 polyclinics.
