Madrid Pride 20 Kicks Off With A Bang
MADRID PRIDE 2020
One of the world´s biggest Pride Festivals Kicked off In Madrid on Friday for a week of celebration, parades and fun.
From Friday June 26th to Sunday July 5th 2020. MADO (Madrid Pride) , is celebrating in true Madrid style as the city hosts a series of street celebrations for the city´s LGTB (lesbian, gay, transsexual and bisexual) Pride Week.
The main even kick off event is the Pride Proclamation which coincides with the reopening of Spain´s borders and the hopeful return of international visitors to Madrid ´s flagship LGBT event.
This year there will be a reduced programme but still a fun packed week is promised and all of the favourites such as the Mr Gay Pride and High Heels Race still in place.

Madrid which is part of the Europride which is Europe´s biggest umbrella network for festivals with a heady mixture of concerts, parades, shows, exhibitions, cultural and sporting events and of course the main event – being PRIDE PARADE on the 1st July.
The first Pride Parade in Madrid took place in 1978 and some 7,000 are thought to have attended. It is estimated that the 2019 Madrid Pride had around 2 million people spectators and participants.
Madrid also took part in the online Global Pride.
