The 2020 Madriz Summer Fest starts tomorow for a month long festival of live music in the capital.
From 15 August to 15 September, the WiZink Center hosts a musical programme of concerts and shows featuring artists like Pablo López, Camela, Sara Baras, Funambulista and Ara Malikian.
Due to the present hygene and social distancing protocols in place there is a maximum capacity of 2,000 people in the centre that can hold up to 12,000.
The musical programme will kick off on 15 August with the concert by Camela, which will be followed by performances by Pablo López, the group, Despistaos, and the artist, Blas Cantó, Stay Homas, Carlos Sadness, Sofía Ellar, IZAL, Maldita Nerea, Ara Malikian, the Mecano tribute project, Hija de la Luna, Café Quijano, Funambulista and Gitanerías Fest featuring Lin Cortés, Alba Molina and Capullo de Jeréz.
It will also be possible to see shows featuring the flamenco dancer and choreographer, Sara Baras, and the show, Rock in Family for the enjoyment of children.
It will be a summer setting that will cover the emblematic WiZink floor with artificial grass, tables, chairs and it will be acclimatised to combat the hot summer months in the city. It is a meeting point in Madrid that will return music to Madrid and will help reactivate the music and culture sector after so many months without activity whilst ensuring the safety of all those present.
