Massive European Cocaine Factory Hub Raided By Police
A large-scale cocaine processing facility operating continuously with expert chemists has been dismantled and multiple suspects have been detained in a major international drug trafficking investigation.
The footage was obtained from the Guardia Civil on 16th April in the town of Gerindote, in the province of Toledo.
Authorities said the operation led to the arrest of 13 individuals linked to an organised criminal network moving cocaine from South America into Europe.
Officers uncovered a concealed industrial site that had been adapted internally to extract and refine cocaine, while outwardly appearing to be a legitimate business among other companies.
The Spanish Tax Agency said: “A macrolaboratory for the extraction and processing of cocaine hydrochloride has been dismantled in an industrial warehouse, with 13 people arrested in five Spanish provinces who formed part of an international criminal network trafficking drugs between America and Europe.
“The facility operated continuously with specialised personnel brought from Colombia and had sophisticated equipment, including large quantities of chemical precursors used in the different stages of production.
“During the investigation, one tonne of cocaine and nearly eight tonnes of corn flour impregnated with cocaine were seized, which was processed inside the laboratory.”
Investigators said the site was divided into multiple sections handling extraction, filtration, pressing and packaging, with drugs ultimately formed into blocks marked with identifying logos.
The probe began in 2022 after suspected shipments concealed in maritime containers were traced through Rotterdam before distribution across Europe.
Police also seized cash, firearms, ammunition, vehicles and other drugs during coordinated raids in several regions, while parallel financial inquiries targeted properties, vehicles and bank accounts linked to the suspects.
