One Dead & Four Injured As Bull Slips Through Barrier In Fiesta

This is the terrifying moment a raging two-tonne bull gores a man to death and injures a four-year-old girl after crashing through a barrier at a festival in Spain.

The shocking rampage left one dead and four injured before police cornered and shot the animal at the traditional bull run in Pantoja, near Toledo.

Gruesome phone footage shot at the event on 24th September shows the bull when the jeering crowd thought it had been safely corralled behind a makeshift barrier.

But with frightening ease, it smashes through one of the barriers and charges into the now horrified crowd.

One man can be seen caught full on by the bull’s horns as it drags him around the street while other festivalgoers panic and flee.

A dad is seen fleeing with a screaming young girl, believed to be the one injured, in his arms as the bull continues its rampage behind a parked van.

Then one steward can be seen dragging a man away from the bull as the grim footage ends.

A second clip shows three bulls tearing through the town’s streets as festivalgoers leap down and follow them.

Local media said one man died and two were seriously hurt while two other spectators were treated for less life-threatening injuries.

The four-year-old girl, say emergency services officials, was treated for injuries to her mouth while two of the others hurt were her grandparents.

Town mayor Julian Torrejon said: “The bull hit the bars and one of them broke.”

He added: “People are shattered. We are very sorry and send our deepest condolences to the family.”

Civil Guard police, reports local media, are investigating safety standards at the event.

Police say the man killed had been impaled in the neck by the bull’s horns and died from blood loss.

Town Hall officials have announced two days of formal mourning and the suspension of patron saint parties linked to the festival.
