This week saw the enveiling of “the world’s first football club theme park,” by Spanish Liga legends, Real Madrid in Dubai.

The Real Madrid World theme park was officially opened in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, with a host of Spanish Liga legends in attendance.

The joint venture park between the Madrid football giant and Dubai Parks and Resorts spans six hectares (the equivalent of six football pitches inside the Santiago Bernabéu) and features over 40 experiences including the iconic Stars Flyer, the world’s tallest flying chairs at 140 metres high, and Hala Madrid Coaster, the Middle East’s first and only wooden roller coaster

The park’s inauguration was attended by Madrid and Brazil legend Roberto Carlos and the club’s director of institutional relations Emilio Butragueño, who also attended a coaching session for over 100 children from Madrid’s charitable partner, the Real Madrid Foundation.

“Vsitors to this theme park will immediately feel the excitement and enthusiasm that our badge and our shirt convey,” Butragueño said. “Here we bring to life a very important and beloved part of our history.”  “We are absolutely convinced that visitors to this theme park will immediately feel the excitement and enthusiasm that our badge and our shirt convey. Here we bring to life a very important and beloved part of our history, stemming from the emotions and dreams of Real Madrid fans. As our president says, Real Madrid belongs to the hearts of the people.”

Meanwhile, Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said: “Real Madrid World is more than just a theme park – it is a celebration of football. This is an exciting addition to Dubai’s entertainment panorama with new experiences that are fully inclusive, educational and fun for everyone.”

Real Madrid World boasts more than 40 exciting attractions for the whole family. Visitors can relive unforgettable moments and indulge in immersive games and experiences such as The Real Challenge, Road to Victory or Bernabéu Experience, an extraordinary exhibition where they can view replicas of the 15 European Cups in football and 11 in basketball won by the club.

At Meet the Stars, fans can have their photo taken with life-size figures of several legendary players from Real Madrid’s history. Fans also have the opportunity to get together at Real Madrid World to watch the team’s matches live.

Madridista members  receive a 20% discount on entry tickets as well as in the park’s shops and restaurants.
