Real Madrid´s Zidane Tests Positive For Covid

The coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for Covid-19, the club has announced in a short press release.

The release dated 22nd January stated ” Real Madrid C. F. report that our coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19″.

The positive test comes after a shock loss and exit from the Copa del Rey to third-tier club Alcoyano.

Zidane has already had to self-isolate this month after coming into contact with a person infected with Coronavirus. However, he tested negative at the time and was able to oversee the team.

After successive defeats in the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey, Zidane is currently under pressure  to recover the first team´s winning form, which they managed to do with a 4-1 win over the the weekend over  Alavés .
