Queen Leticia of Spain got the giggles and a royal flush when a guest turned up wearing the identical dress at an official visit.
The stylist royal was handing out special awards for a disability help group and had chosen a chic black and white outfit for the event.
But she got the fashion faux pas of her life when one of the winners – Inmaculada Vivas Teson – walked on stage in the same outfit, right down to the shoes.
Leticia – wife of King Felipe – laughed off the incident and the two women hugged warmly.
The 49-year-old queen – a former TV anchor – had been guest of honour at the 30th Royal Board on Disability Council in the Spanish municipality of Merida on 4th May.
Her stylish black and white dress set off with a black belt and black high-heeled shoes had drawn admiring glances when she stepped up to the rostrum to hand out Reina Letizia 2022 awards.
It is unclear where the Queen acquired her outfit, but the dress is available at Mango for around 60 Euros.
Queen Letizia reportedly likes bargain outfits and has been known to revisit her royal wardrobe to happily recycle some of her favourite outfits time and again.
Local media said she has even dips into her classic collection to reuse clothes not seen in public for many years.
In January Letizia attended a reception at the Royal Palace in Madrid with King Felipe where she wore an outfit with green skirt and floral blouse that used to belong to her husband’s mother Queen Sofia.
