Santiago Bernabéu Champions League Fourth “Most Popular” Stadium

Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu is the fourth most popular stadium as it reaches over 700,000 Instagram hashtags according to ticketing platform Ticketgum.com

With a current seating capacity of 81,044, it is the second-largest stadium in Spain but way behind arch rivals Barcelona whose Camp Nou has over 2 million hashtags.

Real Madrid drew 1-1 at home last night and face English champions Manchester City next week at the Etihad Stadium, which itself came in at 200,000 hashtags, for a place in the Champions League final.

Ticketgum.com can also reveal that Barcelona’s Camp Nou is the most memorable Champions League stadium, reaching over 2 million Instagram hashtags. Barcelona’s home ground hosted in the group stages, but unfortunately didn’t make it to the quarter finals of the Champions League this season.

In second is Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium (England) with 1,643,400 hashtags, which has also missed out this year, though reached the final last year, losing against Real Madrid in Paris.

A.C. and Inter Milan’s San Siro Stadium hits third place , with 1,421,344 Instagram hashtags. San Siro is set to become a new stadium named ‘The Cathedral’, within a district dedicated to sport and leisure next door to the current arena. San Siro held the Quarter Final game between AC Milan and Napoli.

Both Italian clubs face each other in a Milan derby for a spot in the finals of the Champions League next month in Turkey.
