Sea Dog: Pet Jumps Into Sea To Play With Shark….Until

This is the moment a dog jumps into the water and gives chase after spotting a shark off the Spanish coast.

The footage was filmed on Les Deveses Beach, in the coastal city of Denia, in Spain’s Alicante province, at around 1 pm on Sunday, 22nd September.

The footage shows the shark swimming near some rocks very close to the shore, with most bathers having got out of the water to avoid the large predator.

But the dog, which appears to be a young golden retriever, does the opposite and despite shouts from people on the beach, it swims out to the blue shark (Prionace glauca), eventually catching up with it and giving its tail a quick nibble before deciding to return to shore as people shout “No, dog!” In Spanish.

The footage quickly made the rounds after being shared on social media, with one netizen joking: “And the owner of the shark does nothing?”

While another said: “If it were my dog, I would have started crying!”
