Spain Relaxes PCR Entry Requirements
The Spanish Health Ministry is to relax some of the requirements to allow travellers to enter Spain.
The relaxation of the measures that had been introduced on the 23rd November are part of a co-ordinated effort to remove obstacles to international travelers who wish to come to Spain.
Under the new measures travellers will also be able to take the much less expensive blood plazma analysis (Amplificación Mediada por Transcripción) (TMA) as long as the test was made 72 hours prior to arrival.
The TMA has proved to have the same efficacy in the detection of Covid-19 as the PCR test.
Children under the age of six will not have to provide a test result to enter Spain.
In addition German and French will be accepted languages as well as English and Spanish.
The modified entry protocols will come into force once published today in the official state bulletin gazette, BOE.
