Lavapiés once more will be celebrating it´s popular neighbourhood celebration of wine and tapas with the 10th annual Tapapiés, the Multicultural Tapas and Music Route which started yesterday and runs until the 25th November.

The gastro festival brings together neighbourhood tapas bars to showcase the best that this traditional Madrid “barrio” can offer.

Over 20 establishments are participating with a diverse range of culinary tapas delights that combine cuisines from all over the world with a fusion of traditional Spanish gastronomic styles and traditions.

As in previous years competions will be held for the best offerings under the supèrvision of the Lavapiés Traders’ Association and sponsored by Estrella Damm.

The  winning tapas dishes will be announced on the 25th November at the Espacio Rastro Madrid.  The jury is made up of leading Spanish chefs José Carlos Fuentes (Club Allard), Michelin Star chef; Begoña Gardel, Community of Madrid Pastry Champion 2019; as well as gastronomic journalists and critics.
