The Self-Saboteurs At Sala Elefante Blanco This Friday
Madrid band, The Self-Saboteurs, will be playing their original songs inspired by punk, post-punk, rock, and all other kinds of things this Friday 28 January at the Sala Elefante (Hortensia 14).

Chris was the original singer in Bristol 80s punk legends Disorder. The Self-Saboteurs were formed when he met up with Steve Jenkins in Vallekas and the two began to write songs with a post-punk remit and a commitment of making a fabulous, yet not inaccessible noise.
The original two Saboteurs were joined by Santiago, a long term fan of British and Spanish punk, and original drummer Dani Rois. The current line- up includes Marea on drums who brings youth, as well as his own uniquely Spanish punk background.
The Self-Saboteurs play their own original compositions and a couple of cover versions. Their influences include Wire, Buzzcocks, Gang of Four, The Clash, Disorder, Joy Division, Crass, La Polla Records, and many other artists and genres.
Madrid anglo-music face Richard Harris will be supporting as The Ella Speed Reaction with a solo set of his own compositions.
The Self-Saboteurs are:
- Chris Neil from Bristol: bass and vocals
- Marea from Madrid: drums and vocals
- Santiago Gómez from Madrid: guitar
- Steve Jenkins from London: guitar and vocals
