Spain Covid Rates Spike As Madrid Reports First New Outbreak

The Spanish Health Ministry today reported significant rise in new infections and fatalities over last 24 hours

Six people are believed to have cought the virus at their workplace and twelve from a family gathering. All are thought to have mild symptoms and have not been hospitalised.
At the same time the Covid task force co-ordinator head Fernando Simón, ( Coordination Center for Health Alerts) announced that Spain had 17 coronavirus-related deaths over the last 24 hours to Friday, as well as a rise in the daily infection rate from 134 to 174 cases. Of these 50 were reported in Madrid, 42 in Catalonia and 31 in Aragon.

Spain has recorded a total of 297,625 Covid 19 cases of which 28,385 have died.
