Top Spanish Matador Gored In Peruvian Corrida
This is the painful moment a toro bravo bull lifts a Spanish bullfighter with its horns and gores him during a fight, leaving him with serious injuries to his private parts.
The incident, in which the bull’s horn tore into his testicles, happened on 6th August in Ayacucho, Peru, during the town’s annual bullfighting fair in honour of the Virgin Mary.
Footage from the event shows cadiz born David Galvan facing the second bull of the afternoon when the animal suddenly charges and strikes him low in the groin.
He is lifted off the ground and hurled several metres before crashing onto the sand as other bullfighters race in to help.
The 33-year-old was treated in the ring before being rushed by ambulance to Coracora Hospital.
Doctors carried out emergency surgery to repair a goring wound that reached the muscle layer beneath the skin, as well as a two-centimetre cut to the end of his penis.
The medical team cleaned the wounds, removed damaged tissue, stitched them in layers, and fitted a drain.

Galvan remained conscious after the attack but was in severe pain and could not appear at his next scheduled fight in Ayacucho the following day.
The bullfighter, originally from Cadiz, is said to be recovering steadily and remains under medical observation.
