The opening today of the Palacio de Cibeles ice rink adds to Madrid’s seaonal offerings for all the family to enjoy.
The specially mounted ice rink is located inside the main patio area of the 19th century building, with over 2,800 square metres of recreational space, open to the public from today, 17th December to 9th January.

The addition of the Cibeles compliments Madrid´s seasonal offering for ice skaters and below are the city-wide locations open over the holiday season.
Plaza de Legazpi 8
This former slaughterhouse and now exhibition and cultural centre offers a 600 square metre rink. In addition it is offering figure skating (patinaje artístico) exhibitions by Federación Madrileña de Deportes de Invierno on the 26th and the 30th of December, as well as on the 2nd of January 2022

PLAZA DE COLON
This is the biggest ice skating rink in Madrid. And apart from ice-skating, there’s a mercado de Navidad (Christmas market), a giant screen, and DJ sessions.
Santa Claus himself is expected to make an appearance on Christmas Eve and the Three Kings are expected to bring some goodies on the 5th of January.
Ten percent of sales will go to the Federación Española de Síndrome de Down.

PUENTE DEL REY
On the esplanade of Principe Pio, with street shows and other activities for greater fun.
PLAZA DE ESPAÑA
This year the reborn Plaza de España is the centre of attention for the festive celebrations in Madrid. complete with giant fir tree and Christmas market.

MUSEO REAIN SOFIA
At the foot of the Reina Sofia Museum, this hidden away ice rink beside Atocha, now has a Christmas market and great atmosphere of Casetas Navideñas.
PALACIO DE HIELO

In front of the RENFE station -Entrevías, Puente de Vallecas. It’s a big rink and apart from ice skating there will be other activities for children and their families, as well as figure skating exhibitions.

The Usera District’s own ice skating rink is mounted on the esplanade of the Junta Municipal de Usera, Avenida Rafaela Ybarra, 41.

The rink has been set up on the Avenida de Monforte de Lemos and Parque de la Vaguada of Madrid´s first purpose built shopping centre.
LA PESETA ( Carabanchel)
