Madrid Infection Rate Rises In Vaccine Roll Out
The Spanish Ministry of Health has announced that a total of 966,097 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered so far which represents 84.5% of the 1,139,400 received.
Of the two vaccines that form part of the government´s vaccine roll out programme, the vast majority is from Pfizer-BioNtech with 1,107,600 doses and the remainder from Moderna.
As part of the programme, the central government distributes the vaccines to the country´s 17 autonomous communities to administer.
Madrid has received 152,000 doses and has administered 79% of the total received.
The Madrid regional health authorities have confirmed another 5,616 cases in the last 24 hours which include 518 new hospitalisations from the virus.
The figures bring the 14 cummulative rate in the Madrid region to over 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Of the 21 districts in the capital the following figures have been released of number of confirmed cases per 100,000.

To date there have been 475,517 coronavirus cases in the Madrid region of whom 19,961 have died.
