Pop Air – Madrid´s First Exhibition Of Inflatable Art

For the first time ever Madrid is hosting an exhibition dedicated to inflatable art.

The Balloon Museum has chosen Madrid to host its interactive inflatable art space which has already proved to be a huge success in Milan, Paris and Rome, and which is due to travel to cities like New York and Berlin after its stint in the Spanish capital.

Visitors and Madrileños can enjoy the art experience that runs until 23rd July at Escenario Puerta del Ángel, in the Casa de Campo.

A group of curators with expertise in contemporary art exhibitions, where air is a crucial component, created the special space. This experience, which takes viewers on a journey through large-scale installations with unexpected shapes, is built around interaction with visitors.

The exibition promises visitors a unique experience where they find themselves at the centre of a novel way of participation: “they will become the director of their own presence, leaving a trace of the experience in the digital world and all the emotions associated. A moment experienced here and now, which is prolonged thanks to a quick photo, in a dilated time”.

The exhibition is conceived as a unique path that includes different types of works: large installations, inflatable sculptures, interactive and digital works. Ending with a video gallery dedicated to delving into the history of Inflatable Art.
