Spain´s Maestro – Immersive #InGoya Exhibition
To celebrate the 275th anniversary of the birth of one of Spain´s greatest painters, Francisco de Goya, the Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa is hosting a unique 3D immersive exhibition of his most famous works accompanied by the period classical music of Falla, Albéniz and Boccherini.
The exhibition includes over a 1,000 images of paintings shown in 35 large-format screens, which will allow the viewer to see Goya´s masterpieces as never before.
The gallery is divided into two main spaces: didactic and emotional and with all panels with the necessary English language panels to guide the visitor through the artist’s genius.
The main area showcases Goya’s art with the help of large screens and 40 high definition projectors that represent a fusion between his paintings and modern technology. Info graph and post-production techniques are used to enable the tiniest details of each of the 150 canvases on display to be highlighted.
Francisco José de Goya ( 1746 – 1828) was a Spanish romantic painter and printmaker who lived through one of the most tumultuous periods in Spanish history – much of which is reflected in his work
The paintings include some of his most celebrated including his royal portraits, Peninsular War periods as well as the Black Paintings.
The exhibition runs until 16th January.
