Businessman Buried In Concrete Over Debt Dispute
A businessman missing for over a month has been found dead and buried more than six feet underground inside a house linked to multiple suspects who have been detained over his killing.
The footage showing the huge hole in the building was obtained from the Spanish National Police on 29th April and shows the crime scene in the city of Alicante, in the Spanish province of Alicante.
The video shows officers carrying out a search at the property where the deep hole can be seen in the living room.
The officers reportedly located the body of Valencian businessman Jesus Tavira, 63, who had been missing since 18th March and who was found in an advanced state of decomposition with multiple stab wounds.
The video shows one of the four suspects being handcuffed before being led to a police car as the footage ends.
The Spanish National Police said in a statement: “Four people were arrested for their alleged involvement in the death of a man in Alicante.
“The body of the victim has been located buried, at more than two metres (over 6.6 feet) deep, in the home of two of those arrested.
“The investigation remains open.”
Investigators reportedly believe a dispute over a debt of EUR 3,000 to EUR 5,000 (GBP 2,600 to GBP 4,300) may have triggered the killing.
Tavira had also reportedly been known as a key witness in a separate financial crime case linked to a former banking executive.
Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding his death while the four suspects remain in custody.
